Engine Rip-off of the Century – How I got Screwed by Bill Mitchell Hardcore Racing

540merlin asked:

Four years ago I bought a crate engine from Bill Mitchell Hardcore Racing. It was a total dissaster from start to finish. Within a year the engine had become a coffee table in the reception area in my office. I can laugh at this $43000 screw up because it is 3 or 4 years ago now. And because I think I may get the last laugh. Watch the video all the way to the end to see why. Please send this video to everyone you know so that no one else gets burned like I did! UPDATE: 4 Sept 2009, Bill Mitchell Racing has UNsubscribed from my videos and deleted my video from his favorites. Guess he has no sense of humour… UPDATE: 5 Oct 2009, Bill Mitchell Racing has blocked me from his channel. Awww, I was having fun. UPDATE: 15 May 2011, Bill Mitchell has finally noticed my little video and has launched an aggressive counter attck to discredit me. Read the last 135 comments – it’s pretty funny. UPDATE: 17 May 2011, Bill Mitchell has disabled commenting to his videos to get rid of the huge number of negative comments. www.cafepress.com I’ve opened an online store where you can get 540Merlin T-shirts and other great stuff! This is the only source in the world for 540Merlin stuff.

If you actually payed some one 16,000 dolars to install this you shouldn’t be allowed to own something like this it is way out of youre ball park as far as upkeep if you can not even install it i can see paying som one to paint the hood but this is outragious.

I have been screwed by Hardcore racing and world products on one of the engine I built, and never again, my buddy bought a Custom Cast 502 for a camaro and all of the rods were installen wrong blew up after 3 passes it sounded funny but ran strong but when the bottom blew out of it, pulled it apart and all of the rods were hung backwards and funny thing it was ordered with corella rods and it had factory GM rods in the engine. They said we took out the corella rods from the engine.

Just look up Bill Mitchell Hardcore Racing and you will find, on many other forums, the bad experiences that other customers have had with Bill Mitchell. We should all thank 540Merlin for the heads up

Correct me if i’m wrong here, but didn’t Dave in the video show proof of the damaged cam bearing? Sounds like proof enough for me… and of cam shavings wreck the entire motor… been there, done that… it’s not pretty… takes out the whole bottom end… I’m sure it’s cheap to rebuild a aftermarket big block bottom end again…;) If anyone from Bill Mitchell had any class, they would have stayed off this post…Not making themselves look like an ass… just sayin…

SOMEONE ELSE BUILT IT FOR YOU! You only drive the cars. You suck at life and are a fail in the eyes of us real car crafters. Yes I do have my own 462 big block that I BUILT. Yes it still runs and I don’t over rev it because I am not a rich dumb fuck and I work hard for my money. How do you like that assfuckinghole. Go cry to some other internet site. Youtube don’t give a fuck that you had a bad experience with bill mitchell.

Also if you dont mind HAVING SOMEONE ELSE rebuild your 3 big blocks every time you over rev them, then stop making the videos of you whining and crying about how they blew up and it was bill mitchells fault. He probably purposely built and sold you junk because he knows your a cocky bitch and you deserve to be walking after your 8,000 rpm burnout. HAHAHAHAH good luck with your crap that you now are stuck with to rebuild and pay someone else to fix for you. Have a nice day you fake ass mechanic.

NO ONE likes beings ripped off or screwed around, if this guy was over here in Australia he would have to go to the police to get restraining orders against those he ripped off. even then he’d be lucky to make it home if a former customer spotted him on the street.
