Well in the other guys defense, he was only a bit upset because Conan said that China is always ripping off the U.S, so of course he was gonna defend his Nations reputation.
Backhanded or not, he spoke for mostly a realists view, with some humour in it. But still. They had their laughs on both sides with some seriousness to it.
It was a much longer and slightly backhanded apology, but honestly Conan probably knows about the whole thing and doesn’t care. He got some laughs out of the situation and in the end he doesn’t really care about Da Peng’s show because it is small potatoes. Conan wants to be funny, not spread bad blood with someone who doesn’t even speak the same language. Besides, it was Da Peng’s Graphics designer that should be apologizing, not really Da Peng.
That’s why Conan touches our hearts like no one else and that’s why we feel such a unique bond towards him! He is not only the hands down funniest but also the most kind and genuine human beeing in all of show business! I bet you, if it was Jay Leno, he would have sued the online guy for the last of his cent and taken his show off the air!
This is one of the reasons why I adore Conan: he is so down to earth and forgiving. And yes! thumbs up for bringing super junior onto your show (to perhaps choreograph your own dance conan haha)
i wish someone would’ve translated the rest of the da peng “apology” video to conan.. then maybe he wouldnt have had his production team waste their time on making that opening credit for them…
I think he was merely pointing out that he wasn’t Korean. But I’m sure Conan considered that when he put in Ninja stars into the sequence. But to pick up on either of these really is to miss the comedy that was implicit in either show; but like the Chinese show tried to point out, both shows are catering towards different markets and different cultures with different tastes. And that just because it caters to a different culture doesn’t make it ‘weird’.
nahhhhh dont be sorry da peng is an asswipe… the guy went on a huge and incredibly irrational and stupid tirade right after his “apology” for getting caught. Dickhead. as a side note he didnt make his own “sorry” dance, he was making fun of a korean pop group. he is also racist against koreans if you saw his apology/rant
I was watching this episode on tv with my sister and when he started dancing to sorry sorry, I jumped up, danced with him, and sang that song even when it was over! I couldnt stop laughing the whole time though. I think thats hilarious!
